On Monday, January 18, Ms. Chen and Lifan arranged a tour for me to visit the nearby Aogu wetland. The weather is a comfortably 15 deg C with sunshine and mild breeze. Monday is the day-off for the workers at Guogou center. This tour let us relax and enjoy the creation of our God.
Aogu wetland is located in Dongshi Township, Chiayi County, and it is currently the biggest wetland in Taiwan (more than 300 hectares). Within the area, it includes the ecological space consists of lagoons, sand bars, fishing farms and beefwood forests. And a large number of water birds are attracted to here for this.
We stopped frequently to watch the postures of water birds from the mixed forest besides the dike. Birds including egrets, Black Drongos, Japanese White-eys and night egrets etc. often take a rest on the branch.
